Millet Trial: October Update

Polymer Innovations is always responsive to the unique requirements of our customers. Always enthusiastic to develop new and special blends of polymers to come up with the best custom made solution for farmers, miners, forestry...just about anyone.
One of our current trials involves a special new blend for non irrigated broadacre farming of millet which started in early October, not too far actually from our home turf of Singleton.
Early results look promising with a noticeable difference already between the two areas.

Only after a couple of weeks there is a somewhat noticeable difference between the treated area on the left and the untreated area on the right.

Below also is a view at the centre of the millet crop which illustrates the difference between the treated area (left of fence post) and the untreated area (right of fence post).

If this trial is successful enough in meeting our standards, this new blend could be added to our already established range of broadacre specific polymers such as Water$ave BA (Broad Acre).

WATERSAVE BA (Broad Acre) is used to increase available water in the soil profile. Resulting in better strike rates, stronger establishment and improved overall crop resilience to the effects of intermittent rain.
Root development is also enhanced and the growth rate is visibly more rapid.
WaterSave BA will absorb and redistribute the nutrients and fertilizer providing a buffer suited to the crops demands whilst minimizing evaporation from the soil.

WaterSave BA is used to:
  • Increases the water holding capacity of soils.
  • Reduces watering frequency by up to 50%.
  • Reduces water evaporation from soil.
  • Improves the physical properties of compact soil.
  • Protects the environment against drought and ground water pollution.
  • Limits leaching of nutrients and fertilizers.
  • Enhances plant growth and survival.
  • Improves soil porosity and aeration.
  • Non Toxic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
These benefits are extremely important to landowners and farmers to improve yields and therefore the value of their land not too mention reduce water costs and loss through evaporation.

The Polymer Innovations Blog will keep you updated each month on the progress of this trial, we feel confident that it will yield (pun!) the results our customer is looking for and of course this ongoing research and development ensures we have the best, safest and easiest solution to reduce your water use and greatly increase the efficiency of that water.
